Valerie Madon has stepped down from her role as chief creative officer at McCann Worldgroup Singapore and chief creative officer for McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific in the aftermath of the Omnicom-IPG merger.
Madon joined McCann Worldgroup in May 2023 from Meta, where she had been director of Creative Shop, SEA & Emerging Markets – her second stint there. Prior to that, she had been CCO of VMLY&R Asia, Havas Group chairwoman for Singapore and CCO for SouthEast Asia, global ECD – Shell Lubricants and CCO Singapore at JWT, as well as holding ECD roles atPublicis Singapore and Leo Burnett Singapore earlier in her career.
She has judged and been awarded at all major shows including Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, New York Festival, Effies, Spikes Asia and AdFest.
During her time at McCann, Madon was the APAC creative lead for Mastercard and Ferrero. Her achievements there include strengthening McCann Content Studios APAC by blending data-driven insights with platform creativity and securing social-led wins for brands such as L’Oréal Thailand and Chick-fil-A Singapore. Madon also launched and led the Ambition Collective while at McXann, an APAC programme designed to train and showcase emerging talent and was the spearhead of Shape My Portfolio, a mentorship platform she introduced in 2024 that offered aspiring creatives one-on-one portfolio reviews from industry leaders.
Under her leadership, McCann Worldgroup became a Top 5 Cannes Network in APAC (2024) and following year rose from below the Top 20 to Top 5 in Campaign Brief’s The Work Rankings (2025)
She was also named Creative Leader of the Year by Creativepool, rising above more than 100 global leaders, and winner of Creative Captain at the 2025 Campaign Women Leading Change Awards.
As a result of the merger, McCann and MullenLowe Singapore are to combine under the leadership of CEO, Paul Soon, and ECD, Daniel Kee. Soon and Lee were previously part of the leadership team at MullenLowe Singapore. Gonzalo Olivera will become president of the merged agency from January 1. Olivera was previously managing partner at MullenLowe Singapore.
