Doing things by halves look rather silly through Origin’s eyes. It’s offering to pay for the other half for 3 months.
The campaign – one 30 second TVC and two 15 second cut downs – amps up the silliness of shaving off half a beard, ironing half a shirt, straightening half your hair and watching the a footy game until half time.
The ridiculousness of these situations is designed to highlight Origin’s new offer for those who switch to the natural gas and electricity provider.
Customers in Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia who switch to Origin between July 21 and August 31 will receive half off their power usage and supply charges for three months. Plus for the remainder of the plan period, customers will also receive access to Origin’s everyday discounts.
“We are committed to consistently presenting Australian homes and businesses with simple but compelling energy offerings,” commented Rebekah O‟Flaherty, general manager, sales and marketing, Origin
“This is just another step on our journey to better serve our customers and adds to our previous actions around extending call centre hours to Saturdays, and getting rid of exit fees on all our residential energy plans.”
Whybin/TBWA’s spots went to air in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia July 21. Th efull campaign covers television, print, outdoor and digital.
A series of content pieces has also been developed for social media, featuring the hero “half-bearded man‟ seen in the TVC.
