The Ford Capri has a Hollywood history. It was once the car of choice for stuntmen. Wieden+Kennedy London and Ford have tapped into that background (and detective shows of the past) with a series in which a ‘70’s detective presents a tutorial on famous car moves.
Director, Craig Ainsley, and production Company, Arts & Sciences, used quick cuts, throwback soundtrack, and intentionally degraded footage to underline the ‘70s spirit and social-first creative studio, Bodega, worked beside Wieden+Kennedy on the campaign.
The series also includes the first ever UK brand partnership with GIPHY, with the films recut into GIFs available to users on every social platform, amplifying the reach of the content.
The work is the latest in Wieden+Kennedy London’s Mischief Rewired campaign and is running across Europe on Meta, TikTok and YouTube over the next three months.
