“The biggest badass truck has arrived.” And in the 45 second online trailer by Brazil agency, Africa, the Mitsubishi L200Triton Sport claims victory in “the biggest battle of all times: bigger than Waterloo, bigger than Thermopylae and bigger than Stalingrad,” … with a bit of Mad Max thrown in for dramatic impact.
The commercial is the ultimate truck chase-meets-epic battle – alluding to several historical battles and featuring the greatest badasses in history. Not even these greats could defeat the Triton.
The “superproduction”, named Watermopylaegrad and directed by Vellas from Saigon, teased and raised expectations for the launch, a few days before its grand premiere on TV, magazines and newspapers, along with vignettes that highlight each of the car’s main features.
The L200 Triton Sport is the first pickup truck in the world to work with a diesel motor version in aluminium – which is more powerful, economical and lighter at the same time, and it comes with extras such as the biggest internal space in the category and nine airbags, to “redefine the concept of badass,” the agency commented.
