Triumph for Beats By Dre’s You Love Me, created by agency, Translation and directed by Prettybird’s Melina Matsoukas, at the AICP Awards virtual presentation. It won the top honour for Advertising Excellence/Single Commercial as well as awards in Concept, Direction and Visual Style.
Matsoukas was the most honoured director, with four awards, followed by Kevin Wilson, Jr. and Nisha Ganatra of Chelsea Pictures; Oscar Hudson of Pulse Films and Spencer Susser of Blue-Tongue Films, with three each.
Kevin Wilson Jr. was named Best New Director for his work on Widen the Screen for Procter & Gamble, created by Grey New York.
Chelsea Pictures was the most honoured production company with six wins, followed by Prettybird with five. Blue-Tongue Films, MJZ, Pulse Films, Smuggler and Somesuch received three awards each.
Translation and Droga5 topped the agency honours with four each, followed by AMV BBDO, Grey and Wieden+Kennedy with three each.
The most honoured brands were Beats by Dre, with four awards, followed by Apple, Humane Society International, Libresse/Bodyform and The New York Times with three each.
