Scalpel sharp humour parodies the classic “walk away from explosion” movie trope to become a showcase for the Hollywood-worthy capabilities of Cinematic Slow Motion in Apple’s newest iPhone 16 Pro commercial.
The commercial, created in-house at Apple, was directed by O Positive director, David Shane, with director of photography, Jeff Honsell, and the film was shot entirely on the iPhone in 4K 120fps.
It also brings back the two fan fave detectives who helped Apple’s iPhone 13 Pro’s Cinematic Mode commercial win three Cannes Lions and an Emmy Nomination in 2022.
Post-production is by Method Studios, editing by Geoff Hounsell and music and sound by Frontier Trailer House.
The film is running across broadcast, YouTube and online video.
