There hasn’t been much absence to make hearts grow fonder in the last year or two. People have bickered and fallen out of love with their homes. BETC and Havas Group’s customer experience collective, BETC Fullsix, have turned both of these into relatable love story for Leroy Merlin. It’s a metaphor for the power of home repairs and decoration, created at a time when people are staying at home, feeling good in at home has surged in importance.
The soundtrack of the film is Shining Light by Aime Simone, a song discovered by BETC’s music supervisor, Christophe Caurret. The spot was directed by a married couple, Réalité who injected their own understanding into the story.
The campaign goes to air on TV in France and in digital on June 21.
