Sick of torture test ads for street cars? Of course you are. They’re as overdone as racing car drivers starring in street car ads.
Which is why BETC Paris has built both into its Peugeot 208 commercial. You’re expecting ho-hum. That’s not what you get. And that makes you pay attention to every car detail. Yes, it’s another product features car ad. Done in a wonderfully entertaining way.
The self-aware parody of classic car advertising features 9x World Rally Champion and Peugeot driver, Sebastian Loeb.
No description could do it justice. It’s best just to watch it:

The ad highlights the new car’s Active City Brake, Reversing Camera, Cruise Control, and Park Assist – without actually showing any of them. It was this twist that won Gary Freedman for the job.
Freedman flew in voiceover talent and stand-up comedian, Lewis MacLeod, to create the real sense of playful antagonism between the two actors that makes this ad so much fun.
