We are essentially social beings. Introverts, exhibitionists, wannabes, celebrities – every human being needs to be connected to at least one other human being.
BWM Dentsu has made that essential connectivity what the nbn provides. What the agency needed to do then was to thread that message into a story that was interestingly outside of usual, and made viewers feel the emotion that connectivity brings.
It did.
To do its job, it had to feel authentic also.
It does.
The film, Silent Reunion, shot by Finch director, Nic Finlayson, tells a simple story of two school friends who are reuniting over the nbn. They’re both hearing impaired and communicate with sign language.
BWM Dentsu and nbn consulted with Deaf Services Queensland to ensure the narrative was a true representation of the relationship between the two women.

Part of our commitment to delivering this campaign was to ensure we showcase how the network is impacting many of our underrepresented communities. Through this collaboration with Deaf Services Queensland, we were able to learn first-hand of the bond between the two women. Being able to bring this to life in a genuine and real way was immensely rewarding.”

The campaign will be seen on TV, online video, OOH, press and digital in selected markets.
