It’s a sad fact of life that no matter how often people are warned, they still get distracted by their phones when they’re driving. So Cramer-Krasselt (C-K) and WeatherTech came up with a new way to reach people’s heart and head. A raccoon, skunk, moose, and deer decide to confront a distracted driver and offer him a practical, safe, and convenient place to put his phone when he’s in the car…in WeatherTech’s CupFone.
The first commercial in the campaign is Friendly Intervention:
In the second spot, a wise and seemingly friendly bear (who oddly likes trucks) confronts a mountain biker who is putting his bike in the bed of his truck without using a WeatherTech ImpactLiner. Once the bear makes his point, he also reminds the man that you should never get too comfortable around a bear.
This campaign builds on C-K’s relationship with WeatherTech, following the launch of Father’s Day and summer campaigns earlier this year. The work is running across broadcast, network, streaming, and audio. C-K also handles the brand’s media.
“Our products are designed to solve everyday problems, whether that’s finding a convenient place for your phone or protecting your truck from the wear and tear of everything you put it through,” stated Fíona Noone, director of marketing at WeatherTech. “Cramer-Krasselt helped us bring those situations to life with humour, giving audiences a chance to see a more playful side of WeatherTech while highlighting the American-made quality we’re known for.”
“We’re proud of the work we continue to build with WeatherTech,” added Brian Neinhaus, managing director at Cramer-Krasselt. “This campaign brings together smart, entertaining storytelling with products that solve real problems, from keeping your phone safely in place while driving to protecting your truck. And if we can help a few woodland friends stay out of harm’s way along the way, even better.”
