The internet can be a very lonely place. We’re not programmed for virtual connection with an influencer, or companionship from a funny cat video.
Global confectionary leader, The Fini Company, has created Fallin’ in Love, an animated short film made with Zombie Studio, with an encouraging message about putting down one’s phone. The film blends humour, charm, and emotional depth to address an increasingly urgent topic – the lack of human connection in a screen-dominated world.
The story was conceived by Fini global CMO, Pablo Moreno with script writer, Antonio Castillo, and directed by Zombie co-founder, Paulo Garcia. It follows a young Cupid given the job of bringing together Noah and Emma, two strangers who pass each other every day on the subway but remain oblivious to one another due to their constant phone use. To succeed in his mission, the little archer needs both creativity and a touch of boldness.

“Fallin’ in Love reflects the world we live in and reminds us how important it is to reconnect with each other on a human level. We’re letting meaningful moments slip away because of information overload and excessive screen time,” stated Pablo Moreno. “The short film captures Fini’s essence and the message we want to share with the world: to create joy through true and joyful encounters.”

Paulo Garcia added, “From the start, our goal was to approach this project with an entertainment-first mindset rather than traditional advertising, rooted in Fini’s brand values and core message. In that sense, the script was a gift — it allowed us to tell a story and spark reflection on today’s society in a light, uplifting way, without relying on product-centric messaging. I believe that’s the secret to this film and what makes it so special.”

The film’s original score was composed by Bumblebeat and features musicians from Europe, the United States, and Brazil. Fallin’ in Love is available on Fini’s YouTube and social media channels, with additional rollouts planned on other platforms in the coming weeks, such as movie theatres.
