Glue Society, the specialist art, film and experiential collective notorious for Cannes Grand Prix winning work for Australian brands such as NAB (Break Up), ANZ (Gaytms), Suncorp Insurance (One House to Save Many) and Virgin Mobile (Warren & 5Cent), has recently found that its reputation has spilled across oceans. It is in demand by agencies in the UK, US and Europe.
Uncommon London, BBH London, Droga5 NYC, adam&eveDDB London, and Grabarz and Partner in Hamburg have all in the past 12 months sought it out for work.
Projects led by Glue Society partners, Pete Baker, Luke Nuto and Jonathan Kneebone, include:
- Audi Light, As You Like It via BBH London
- Deutsche Telekom Warmland via Grabarz and Partner, Hamburg

- A 4-day live interactive play for HBO Dune Prophecy via Droga 5 NY

- Tommy’s Projecting Life via Special Group, London
- Mucinex Monsters In Waiting via McCann NY

- JPMorgan Chase Waiting Workforce via Droga5 NY.
And all that work is already beimg applauded at the international award shows – with the team having picked up Gold at the Andy Awards, and winners at Clio, One Show and Creative Review Awards across multiple projects.
This adds to the success of local Australian work The Spot for La Roche-Posay/Ogilvy, Art Over Everything for POSCA/Sunday Gravy and Forever Original for Coopers/Special Group.
Jonathan Kneebone, founder & director of Glue Society, stated, “In working around the world, it has been remarkable to see how much familiarity and enthusiasm there is for Australian and New Zealand work. And to what extent this region has been leading the world in experiential, activations and brand communication art.
“Despite the general sense of anxiety and unpredictability within our industry, it seems one of the reactions to that is creative people unashamedly letting their hair down. There’s this palpable appetite for taking risks and just having some fun again – particularly in the UK. It’s infectious. Long may it last.”
