Everyone’s out to make a buck. That’s probably an accurate, if cynical, overview of life in 2017, but it’s not true of Good For Nothing.
This is an overview of Good For Nothing. “We are a growing community of thinkers, do-ers, dreamers, makers and tinkerers, finding time to gift our ideas, skills and energy to help accelerate the impact of social innovators, change makers and epic projects of social good.”
You noticed the word, gifting, yes?
Good For Nothing’s other point of difference is that it gets things done. Without all the meetings and paperwork. Its asks just two questions, What’s your biggest challenge? and, How can we help?
Curious? Here’s the link to its About page.
The Australian arm of Good for Nothing is about to spend an entire day working its socks off, seeing how much good it can do, for nothing. It’s holding a gig – aka a pitch day – in Melbourne on October 14, to generate ideas and collaborate on solutions for local not-for-profit projects.
There are 50 places available for thinkers and doers. If you’d like to find out the projects you will be helping and register to join, click here.
All the projects are looking for help with creativity, planning and execution across marketing, design, media, PR and digital. That means Good for Nothing is looking for help with:
- Design & Branding
- Illustration and/or Art Direction
- Copywriting
- Creative Ideation
- Marketing/Communications Strategy=
- Social Strategy
- UX
- Digital Development and Production
- Project Management
- Video Editing and/or Animation
Don’t see your skills listed but keen to be involved? Email Good for Nothing anyway. “We’re sure we can find a way you can be involved,” the organisation promises.
