If you’re a bright Melbourne creative and strategic thinker, an opportunity to be really worthwhile is coming your way. Good for Nothing’s creative hackathon is happening again, this year on October 6. You can help Good For Nothing help not-for-profits who may not otherwise afford advertising, marketing and design services. All you have to do is donate one day at WeWork in Collins Street to answer their briefs.
All projects will need help with planning, creative and technical execution covering marketing, design, media, PR and digital. So if you’re a creative with a heart who can help with graphic and UX design, art direction, copywriting, strategy, web development, project management and more, this opportunity should be right up your alley.
This year, Good For Nothing is collaborating with SHINE for kids, a national charity that supports the children and families of people involved in the criminal justice system, and Minus18, an organisation driving social change by creating an Australia where all LGBTIQ young people feel safe. With a third organisation to be announced!
The one day event is supported by the donations of sponsors, WeWork, Deliveroo, Sample, COS, Carman’s, Emma & Tom’s, Messina and Presha Fruit, who will make sure that doing good is not your only reward.
Good For Nothing originated in London and currently operates in 44 locations across the world. This is the 5th event for the Melbourne chapter, and usually attracts between 50-60 volunteers each time. You can, of course, see another reward for you in that, yes? The Melbourne Good For Nothing has helped over 12 local not-for-profits to date.
