“Sometimes, a taste is all you need.” And as Leo Burnett points out, when you’re being offered a full night camping alone in the Savannah with leopards, lions, hyenas, or scaling 14,000 feet, abseiling the overhang then climbing to the top of a Swiss Alp with the help of an oxygen mask, a taste is definitely enough.
Leo Burnett’s humorous little scenarios in its Great Tastes of the World campaign aim to promote McDonald’s limited-range of Stack burgers, like the South African Stack with smoky BBQ sauce, bacon, Pepper Jack cheese, hot & spicy mayo in a paprika-topped bun.
When was the last time a promotional ad was so entertaining you wanted to show it to a friend?
Leo B’s first entertaining film, Savanna, launched on October 3 and runs for just under two weeks, before Climbers on October 18 and then Re-enactment (when you’re about to fight like a Roman, a taste might be a life-saver) on November 1, in both the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
Peter Heyes, creative director at Leo Burnett, commented, “We have produced stronger and stronger work on McDonald’s in recent times. This year, one of our aims was to raise the standard of our promotional work. The Bobbsey twins helped us earlier in the year. Now, with this Great Tastes of the World campaign, I believe Tony Barry has helped us realise our aim for 2017.”
The full campaign includes radio, press, out of home, digital display, social and in-restaurant.
