DAVID has hired Luis Giraldo and Felipe Antonioli as creative directors in its Miami office. After nearly three years at Goodby Silverstein & Partners San Francisco, Luis and Felipe are returning to DAVID, where they were previously part of the creative team at DAVID Madrid (2019 – 2022). The duo, who have worked together for seven years, bring both global expertise and a proven track record of award-winning work to the agency, and will be creating for clients such as Google and Mondelez.
Giraldo and Antonioli will report to Edgard Gianesi, chief creative officer of DAVID Miami. “Welcoming Luis and Felipe to the DAVID Miami team signals a bold step forward for the agency,” Gianesi commented. “Their exceptional creative vision and ability to craft culturally resonant, award-winning work align perfectly with our mission of pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in creative.”
Throughout his career, Giraldo has worked on famous campaigns for brands such as Burger King, Pond’s Men, Corona, and Doritos. Recognised as the #1 copywriter in the world by the Cannes Lions Global Creativity Report (2021), he is the creator of one of the most awarded campaigns in Spanish advertising history, Burger King Stevenage Challenge, whose accolades include Grands Prix at Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, The One Show, and LIA, among others.
Antonioli returns as a highly acclaimed art director with over thirteen years of experience across the US, European, and Brazilian advertising markets. He has developed innovative campaigns for global brands such as Doritos, Burger King, Corona, Dove, Magnum, and Havaianas. Antonioli has earned over 200 international awards, including the first-ever Titanium Lion for Spain, three Cannes Lions Grand Prix, and three Yellow Pencils at D&AD. He is also the creator of the Burger King Stevenage Challenge campaign, that received multiple global accolades. In 2021, he was ranked the #1 art director at the Cannes Lions Festival.
“Returning to DAVID, now in Miami, is an incredible opportunity to craft meaningful and impactful campaigns for brands we admire,” Giraldo stated. “We’re thrilled to rejoin DAVID, now in Miami, and push creative boundaries with such an inspiring team and amazing clients,” Antonioli added.
