The first time I saw Ogilvy Melbourne’s Easter Cadbury commercial on TV, I cried my eyes out and had an instant desire for chocolate. I don’t think it was because I’d been cooped up in the house for days but now that I’m used to being cooped in the house, and now that I’ve seen the spot a number of times, it still tugs at my heartstrings and makes me desire chocolate. I think you’ll agree that’s what the commercial is hoping to do.
Be warned, it will probably do the same to you:

Twins continues Cadbury’s theme that there’s a glass and a half in everyone, which highlights the (heartwarming) marvel of people who surprise others with little acts of kindness.
David Ponce de Leon, executive creative director for Ogilvy Melbourne, commented, “In a world that can seem a little bleak right now, the generous acts are still happening every day. And with many families forced into our homes, Easter is still a time we should look forward to. The new Cadbury Dairy Milk campaign is a celebration of the little moments that connect us. A very real, down to earth Australian story we are certain will resonate with consumers this Easter.”
The TVC’s brilliant directing decisions come from Mitch Kennedy from The Producers. The awesome editing comes from Simon Njoo.
Anthony Ho, equity director, Mondelez, added, “In these trying times, Cadbury believes that now more than ever, there is a glass and a half of generosity and goodness in everyone. Our new film continues our drive to tell simple stories about generosity and human connection. Cadbury Dairy Milk’s Easter eggs have brought enjoyment to Australians for generations, and Easter is a time to continue to come together and look out for one another.”
Twins is part of a full Easter campaign that will include digital, social, a live 360 egg hunt on Facebook, PR and POS.
