The 2016 Clio Awards were announced on Wednesday evening, September 29 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York. Colenso BBDO was the only agency in Australia or New Zealand to win a Grand Clio. Clemenger BBDO Melbourne and Colenso were the only AUNZ agencies to win Gold.
Colenso BBDO/Proximity New Zealand won its Grand Clio for Brewtroleum for DB Breweries, in Out of Home.
Clemenger BBDO won 3 Gold Clios for Bonds’ The Boys – in Direct, Film and Integrated Campaign.
11 Grand Clios were awarded. Two campaigns, #OptOutside and The Swedish Number, won two Grand Clios each.
- Venables Bell & Partners won a Grand Clio for #OptOutside in Engagement/Experiential and Edelman won one in PR.
- INGO Stockholm won Grand Clios in Direct and Innovation for The Swedish Number.
