303 MullenLowe has been planning the launch of its PR division since its rebrand planning began late last year. The agency has kickstarted its new division now with a win. It has been appointed to manage public relations for Harley-Davidson Australia & New Zealand following a competitive pitch.
“We are delighted to extend our relationship with Harley-Davidson and build on the success of our work to-date. We’re also excited to officially announce the launch of our PR capabilities. At 303, we have always believed better client solutions emerge from a multidisciplinary agency environment, and our evolution into PR is a natural step for us,” says Nick Cleaver, chief executive officer of 303 MullenLowe.
There is no doubt that 303’s brand, social and content activations for Harley-Davidson over the past year acted in its favour. The #NiceToBeNaughty campaign by 303 MullenLowe over Christmas achieved over one million views on Facebook alone following its launch on 7 December last year.
“Having worked with 303 MullenLowe for our creative, social media and media planning needs, their bundled offer is a great fit for Harley-Davidson,” noted David Turney, head of advertising, promotions & PR at Harley-Davidson Australia & New Zealand.
“PR is a key part of our marketing mix and that has to be integrated strongly with digital, social and content creation. This is very much a philosophy shared by 303 MullenLowe, and that shone through in their pitch. We are excited to be expanding on our long-standing relationship with the passionate and creative team at 303 MullenLowe,”
The agency is now working with Harley-Davidson to generate stories and content that support the brand’s events, ambassadors and PR strategy. A significant focus will be to help Harley-Davidson connect with younger audiences across mainstream and social channels.
