Australia has 7 finalists:
- The Monkeys has three finalists for Sydney Opera House, Play It Safe
- Howatson+Company has two finalists for Mastercard TOUCH
- Ogilvy Australia & Ogilvy UK have two finalists for Dove 10 VS 10.
Some of the greatest growth in entries has come from Lions outside the traditional disciplines. Creative Business Transformation is up by 8%; Creative Commerce is up by 18%; Creative Strategy is up by 5%.
CREATIVE BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION
27 entries were received in Creative Business Transformation. Ideas such as The Mammoth Meatball by VML Amsterdam, Wunderman Thompson Amsterdam and Wunderman Thompson Antwerp for Vow; The Dove Code by Soko Sao Paulo (which is shortlisted three times); and Heinz Remix Customizable Digital Sauce Dispenser by Kraft Heinz Company attracted the judges’ attention.
CREATIVE COMMERCE
50 entries were shortlisted in Creative Commerce, VML agencies making a significant contribution to the finalists.
Howatson+Company has two finalists for Australia, both for Matilda Bay Your 2nd Favourite Beer’
CREATIVE STRATEGY
79 entries were shortlisted in Creative Strategy. VML Melbourne’s FitChix for Honest Egg Co. was shortlisted for Australia twice.
CREATIVE EFFECTIVENESS
35 entries have been shortlisted in Creative Effectiveness. Wieden + Kennedy Sao Paul and New York and Africa Creative Sao Paulo’s Bring Home The Bud was shortlisted three times.
Australia has two finalists, both for VML Melbourne’s FitChix for Honest Egg Co.
LUXURY & LIFESTYLE
20 entries were shortlisted in Lifestyle & Luxury. France dominates the shortlist with eight finalists, for brands Hennessy, Chanel, Hèrmes, Tag Heuer, Kiehl’s, Lancôme and Mane and Esthétique du Combat.
