The Philippines is congested with buildings, especially in the heart of Metro Manila. Green spaces cool down cities but can be rare to find. While looking through Google Maps, Gigil creatives discovered green spaces that struck a resemblance to a green footprint – or more fittingly, a pair of Havaianas thongs.
This discovery was a perfect link to Havaianas’ #BreakTheRush campaign, which is all about finding a brief moment of relaxation despite the fast-paced movements of everyday life.
A satellite image of one green space was captured and transformed into a branded visual resembling a Havaianas thong, complete with the logo and Break The Rush messaging. The ad was then posted on Earth Day, April 22, 2025.

The post served as a call to action and a reminder to create more green spaces and parks in the country, so that more Filipinos could unwind and take a break from their surroundings.
