78% of French people don’t know that KFC’s Tenders are handmade on-site, every day. Handmade is synonymous with quality and authenticity – especially in food – so it’s a missed opportunity for KFC against competitors relying on industrial processes.
Havas Paris decided to make its OOH advertising in exactly the same way as Tenders to highlight the KFC advantage.
So KFC France’s Handmade Billboards are a bold, and very visible, detour from traditional OOH – a 100% handcrafted, 100% one-of-a-kind activation.
Each visual was hand-drawn, directly on-site. No file. No print. Just a blank poster, a fat red marker, 73 locations, and an unlikely duo – A KFC team member trained in both cooking and illustratio and a JCDecaux technician coordinating logistics and execution.

The result is a series of unique creations – just like KFC’s Tenders, and a standout creative statement, brought to life with radical simplicity – where message and execution merge into one.
