Don’t go bacon my heart has won the Danepak Great British Bacon Off. Isobel’s spoof of the BBC’s The Great British Bake Off has most likely won bacon lovers’ hearts.
The perfectly poised parody of the BBC hit show is also a showcase of eight sambos that use a packet of bacon each. Clearly, the real winner is Danepak.
Four contestants were asked to create a signature sandwich and a showstopper, mimicking the challenges in each episode of The Great British Bake Off.
In round one, they were given two minutes, Danepak’s 90-second Rapid Rashers, tomato sauce and the usual pantry ingredients to create a classic bacon sandwich. In round two, they were given ten minutes to make an elaborate bacon sandwich.
The film is part of Danepak’s The Serious Bacon Club campaign, created by UK agency, Isobel, in August this year to relaunch the brand.
