Carlos Andrés Rodríguez has been chosen as executive creative director at MullenLowe UK, replacing ex-CCO, Nicky Bullard, who announced her departure last week. Rodríguez has a seventeen year history with MullenLowe, beginning his career as a trainee art director at MullenLowe SSP3 Bogotá in 2008. Six years later he joined MullenLowe UK for the first time, as a senior creative before returning to MullenLowe SSP3 as executive creative director and later chief creative officer.
In 2021, he became founder and chief creative officer of David Bogotà, spending two years in the role.
The most awarded creative in Colombia, he has collected more than 300 awards including the first Latin American Titanium Lion at Cannes, the only Latin American Innovation Grand Prix at Cannes and the Black Pencil of the Decade at D&AD. He was named one of the AdWeek’s Creative 100 Most Innovative & Inspiring Individuals in 2022, the 2nd Best Creative in Iberoamérica by El Ojo in 2020, and the most admired advertising personality in Colombia by SCOPEN 2022. He’s also co-creator of the only Colombian campaign present in the Cannes Lions’ Game Changers book, and has been jury at Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, D&AD and Ojo de Iberoamérica.
