Volkswagen is committed to a strong ambition – carbon neutral mobility by 2050. It is not promising miracles but it is launching initiatives to change just about everything. It’s not content with producing more electric vehicles but has adopted a broader approach.
With its Way to Zero program, Volkswagen is rethinking the way its vehicles are built with a neutral carbon footprint, how to move them forward with green electricity and even how to make them disappear with a recycling program.
These real initiative need to be shared with an honest tone of voice. So DDB Paris is announcing Volkswagen’s efforts in a campaign that is humble and contemplative – devoid of the usual advertising bravado, quietly inspiring instead.
Illustrating the announcements are illustrations by artist, Taku Bannai.
“His universe is also very joyful, colourful, because we think that the fact that a group wants to change towards more ecological responsibility is good news, we want to bring some optimism,” DDB Paris stated.
“With a first series of four visuals, we want to talk about the vision of the brand but also, the construction of vehicles, the recycling and the partnership and actions implemented with the FFF.”
