The answer to what will happen to the advertising agency portion of Maximum Effort when connected TV advertising platform, MNTN, sells it is now clear. Ryan Reynolds and George Dewey will regain control of both the ad agency and production company they co-founded in 2018, after selling the agency to sold to MNTN in 2021.
Maximum Effort’s film and TV studio has worked on projects like the Deadpool franchise, Free Guy, IF, Welcome to Wrexham and Shotgun Wedding. “We make movies, TV series, content and cocktails for the personal amusement of Ryan Reynolds. We occasionally release them to the general public,” the company says in its bio.
The advertising agency has developed spots for Aviation Gin, Mint Mobile and Match.com.
The deal is expected to close on April 1.
